Kerrywoman Siún, born and bred in Feothanach in the heart of the West Kerry Gaeltacht, grew up surrounded by football. Sam Maguire was not only a household name but often made an appearance in the Mac Gearailt home, An Cúinne Pub.
Despite this, Siún never paid that much attention to the everyday conversations about football around the pub. However, she hopes that somehow it will have given her super predictive powers and shoot her to the top of the league table and beyond.....!
SFC winners 2007: Kerry
SHC winners 2007: Hopefully Waterford can do it
Likes: Hairstyles, especially my own! West Kerry sunsets, a good jazz session, spinach.
Dislikes: Dangerous and irresponsible driving which can lead to carnage. Magpies (no offence to Newcastle fans), An ghaoth aduaidh.
Toughest Opponent: Sharon Ní Bheoláin, especially if she goes to the same hairstylist on days we're both on TV!
Expectations for the year: Donegal football team should go far!
Somethings you might not know about Siún: She once made a living on the sets of Roger Corman films, speaks fluent German and lived there for some years.
Siún is a newsreader for RTÉ.
