'It was mighty. It takes a man to do it and we had that man there in Andrew O'Shaughnessy, he took it on his shoulders.' Limerick manager Richie Bennis hails the nervless Andrew O'Shaughnessy after he pointed a last minute 65 to level the match and ensure Limerick and Tipperary will have to do it all again in the Munster SHC.

'I hope you will be generous to the game that was there and realise that in the heat of the battle, it isn't easy. I was there myself over the years and it took special character (for Limerick) to come back through there and earn a draw. You will have young men who will remember this day for many's the year to come...' Tipp manager Babs Keating is relieved and gracious following another epic in Semple Stadium.

'...there’s fellas in there barely fit to walk. It resembles an Irish rugby dressing-room with the number of icepacks in there.' Dublin boss Paul Caffrey after another tough battle against Meath.

'They missed chances, so did we, they had a couple of goal chances and so did we. In the end the game was there for the taking and Dublin took it.' Meath manager Colm Coyle breaks it down simply following his side's defeat to Dublin.

'We came up to do a job, we had a Championship game to win. We can only do what we can do. It was just a completely mad game, goals going in everywhere.' Waterford's John Mullane after his side did their job against Cork.

'I would like to congratulate Waterford on their victory. We'll go back now and regroup. It's going to be a long campaign with three games on the trot but we'll be ready for that.' Cork manager Gerald McCarthy reminds us that we haven't seen the last of the Rebels in this year's Championship.

But why were there only two minutes? Did he (the referee) only play two minutes because there's another game after us? Is that the reason? Because Dublin and Meath are more important? That might sound like sour grapes but fair is fair. If there are six minutes of injury time there should be six minutes played, not two.' Eamonn McEneaney hasn't got sour grapes following Louth's two-point loss to Wexford in the Leinster SFC.

'We would want to be very careful though. We weren't world beaters before today and we're not world beaters now.' Mickey Harte sounds a word of caution despite Tyrone's clinical showing against Donegal in the Ulster SFC.

'We are shattered. It is a difficult one to accept, difficult to rationalise. It was a horrible performance and there are no explanations.' John Maughan is at a loss to explain Roscommon's collapse against Sligo in the Connacht SFC semi-final.
