The GAA and the Gaelic Players Association have reached an agreement on the distribution of proposed Government funding for Senior Intercounty player welfare.
The agreement was reached following ongoing discussions between both parties and has been submitted to the Department of Arts, Sports and Tourism for consideration.
The submission is based on a commitment given by the Government that it would make up to €5m on a stand-alone basis available annually to support player welfare.
