The GAA has banned players from swapping jerseys before the trophy presentation at major finals.

In future, Championship winning hurlers or footballers will not receive their medals unless they are wearing their own team's colours.

GAA President Nickey Brennan said: 'It is embarrassing for sponsors who have put up the bucks for a team.  Then they see the opposition on the podium when the trophy is being presented - and it has happened.'
