Ireland Junior Rules panel

The Ireland panel for the forthcoming Junior International Rules tour to Australia has been announced.

15 counties in all are represented with Cavan and Donegal each having three players on the 24 man panel.

The team will be captained by Cavan's Ray Cullivan, a son of the former Cavan player of the same name while Shane O'Rourke (son of former Meath player Colm) and Paddy Andrews, brother of Dublin star Peadar, are also among those named.

Ireland panel: Ray Cullivan, Paddy Brady, Barry Watters (all Cavan), Gary Brennan (Clare), Colm O'Driscoll (Cork), Jimmy O'Leary (Kerry), Darragh Gallagher, Michael Murphy, Eoin Wade (all Donegal), Paddy Andrews, Kevin Nolan (both Dublin), Max Bradley, John Brown (both Kildare), Richard Ryan, Simon Shortall (both Laois), Martin Brady, Denis Mc Goldrick (both Longford), Brian Gibbons, Pierce Hanley (both Mayo), Shane O Rourke (Meath), Neil Mc Adam (Monaghan), William Mulhall (Offaly), Stephen Henry (Sligo) and Tony Dunne (Tipperary).

The Ireland manager is Niall Moyna (Monaghan) and he will be joined by selectors Billy Mc Nicholas (Mayo), John Mc Elroy (Fermanagh), Noel Mooney (Kildare) and John Landers (Limerick).

The team will play three games against Australia.

The first test will take place in the MCG in Melbourne on Thursday, April 13, the second test will be played in
Football Park, Adelaide on Easter Sunday, April 16 and the third and final test will be played the following Wednesday in Freemantle Oval, Perth, April 19.
