Valerine Mulcahy was one of five Cork players to be bestowed with a TG4/O'Neill's Ladies' Football All Star award at the Citywest Hotel on Saturday night.
An Taoiseach Bertie Bertie Ahern was on hand to present the awards to the 2005 All Star team, which included 12 first-time recepients.
Vodafone Player of the Year Mulcahy, who struck 1-05 in the Rebelettes' All-Ireland final win last month, Galway defender Ruth Stephens and Mayo midfielder Claire Egan were winning back-to-back All Stars.
It was a third award for Egan, who was right half-back on the 2002 All Star team.
Other All Star winners on the night included Cork team captain Juliet Murphy, beaten finalists Galway also had five players selected, while Geraldine Doherty, who helped Meath make the last eight in both the Suzuki National League and All-Ireland championship, was crowned an All Star half-forward.
Interestingly, Briege Corkery, who had the unique honour of winning All-Ireland titles in Camogie and Ladies' Football in 2005, bagged an All Star at right half-back. The Cloughduv defender missed out on a Camogie All Star last week.
Meanwhile, Laois County Board chairperson Mary Wheatley, the first woman President of the Ladies' Football Association (1988-1991), received the Hall of Fame award at the All Stars banquet.
