The GAA has received planning permission from An Bórd Pleanála for a new bedroom Hotel on Jones Road opposite Croke Park.
Work will start on the project immediately and it is projected that it will be completed by April 2005. The Hotel will have 232 rooms and will be five storey's high in some parts.
Sean Kelly said he was delighted with the news saying it would regenerate the North Inner City and would enhance the services provided in Croke Park, but residents in the area are said to be disappointed with the decision.
