Sean Boylan will take charge of the Meath senior football team for a 22nd second succesive year in 2004. Boylan was unamimously re-appointed at a meeting of the county board in Navan yesterday evening.
Dunshaughlin manager Eamon Barry, thought to be Boylan's natural successor, was again the only other candidate.
Barry managed just 19 votes to Boylan's 69. That is a massive vote of confidence in the Dunboyne man who has brought un-precedented success to the county since first taking charge in October of 1982.
Under his tenure, Meath have won four All Ireland senior titles, eight Leinster titles and three national league crowns. Meath open their championship campaign next summer against Wicklow.
