Browne definitely out of first test in Perth

The Irish International Rules team have been dealt a severe blow with the news that Declan Browne will definitely miss the first test against Australia. Tipperary star Browne suffered a dead leg yesterday as the Irish team enjoyed a 53-10 win over Western Australia. And it was confirmed today that there's no chance of Browne making Friday's match in Perth.

Irish manager John O'Keeffe was yesterday livid over the challenge by former AFL player Ashley Prescott that has robbed him of one of the most skilful players in his panel. O'Keeffe claimed that there "was no intention whatsoever to play the ball" and said the tackle was "totally outside the rules".
