The Ballymun Kickhams club have made history by becoming the first GAA club in Ireland to unveil a full length, floodlit Astroturf pitch. The progressive Dublin club have invested well over €1m in the project, which was opened to the public recently and boasts the largest artificial playing surface in the world.
Founded by the amalgamation of the Kickhams club and Ballymun Gaels, Ballymun Kickhams have been involved in providing sporting activities for the youth of the Ballymun area for more than 40 years.
