GAA to press for tax concessions

GAA President Sean McCague says the Association will be talking to the Government about the new tax concessions for sports people at the earliest opportunity.

McCague says he has no difficulty with the tax concession concept in general, but he feels the current proposals discriminate against amateur GAA players. He said this was difficult to rationalise when so many GAA players give so much of their time and talents for free.
