Greg Ramsbottom and Paul Dunne will make their first championship starts, when Laois take on Westmeath in the Leinster football championship on Monday. The game is part of a double header at Portlaoise, with the Laois hurlers taking on Dublin in a replay of their preliminary round match, to decide who goes on to meet Kilkenny.

Westmeath will have three championship debutants in action when they take on Laois. The newcomers are Martin Murtagh in defence, and Joe Fallon and Derek Heavin in attack.

Roscommon should overcome London in their Connacht championship tie despite various injury problems. They have a totally untried midfield pairing at championship level in John Gillooley and Donal Casserly. Derek Duggan is named among the subs.
