GAA: Galway welcome back Athenry boys

Galway welcome back their Athenry representatives for Saturday's home game against Antrim in the Church and General National Hurling League. All-Ireland club medal winners Michael Crimmins, Brian Feeney, Paul Hardiman, Joe Rabbitte and Eugene Cloonan are all recalled to the side.

In other news, DJ Carey in his column in the Star has strongly denied that he was pressurised into joining the Gaelic Players Association. Carey himself will be out for another month with a shoulder injury. The Cats have something of an injury crisis to deal with now as they also lined out against Derry last week without Charlie Carter, Brian McEvoy, goalkeeper James McGarry, Andy Comerford and Michael Kavanagh, while Eddie Brennan and Denis Byrne were injured in that match.
