Kobe-mania is taking over it would seem.
On Sunday, the prodigious Mayo star followed up his sensational debut a week earlier with two points from play and a number of key assists in his county's league win against Armagh in Castlebar.
Kobe McDonald has well and truly arrived on the senior inter-county scene.
We know that the 18-year-old will be heading to pursue an AFL career Down Under later this year and so Andy Moran and his management team will be looking to fully utilise a talent that can greatly add to their attacking options.
Cast you mind back to 2002 and Kerry had another generational talent coming through in the shape of Colm Cooper. The 'Gooch' stayed at home and went out to claim a whole load a silverware with the Kingdom.
That said, Cooper is not drawing too many comparisons, claiming there is more a buzz about the Crossmolina youngster now.
Speaking on RTÉ Radio's Inside Sport, he said: "I was going into a very experienced Kerry team, I didn't feel too much pressure on me, I was going in with a free shot. The expectation wasn't as high as it is for Kobe now.
"I will see him in the flesh for the first time against Kerry in Tralee, in two weeks' time. And I'm really looking forward to that."
We have already alluded to the task facing Mayo in how they deploy McDonald over the next few months. Cooper, however, is fairly certain the 18-year-old will figure prominently after posing the question: "Will Mayo get as much out of him now and start him in championship matches?"
The response: "I think that's the way it is going to be.
"He has too much quality, too much skill in an area where Mayo don't have as much depth in my opinion.
"The problem is he is going to be a marked man. Everybody will know about him, know what he is capable of, so they'll keep a close eye on him.

"He's a great player to watch and he shown already in his short inter-county career the quality that he has. It's going to be a real fun watch watching that guy during the summer."
What, according to Cooper, will also stand to McDonald is the exuberance of youth, in that he knows nothing of the heartache that Mayo senior footballers have all too often endured over the last three decades.
"He can play with freedom and express himself without fear of past defeats and tough days in Croke Park - and we know that Mayo have had their fair share.
"He has that innocence, youth and exuberance. It's very hard for an 18 or 19-year-old to come in and take a game by storm but he is capable of that.
"David Clifford has done it, Michael Murphy came in and you had Seán Cavanagh from Tyrone. You saw the top talent in them at 18 or 19, and this guy has the same stuff. With the talent he has, I don't think Mayo can hold him back. Let him do his thing and maybe not be too prescribed."
