Killian Clarke has retired from inter-county football 13 years after making his senior Cavan debut.
The versatile 32-year-old, who made 134 appearances for the Breffni County, informed manager Dermot McCabe and the county board of his decision earlier this week.
The Shercock club man enjoyed a decorated underage career, winning three successive Ulster Under-21 titles starting in 2012, the same year he made his senior championship debut against Donegal.
He has the distinction of claiming minor, Under-21 and senior Ulster titles with Cavan.
His performances in 2013, just his second season at senior level, led to an All-Star nomination and he was a mainstay throughout his time with Cavan, assuming captaincy in 2017.
Clarke was instrumental in helping Cavan win a first provincial title in 23 years when they saw off Donegal in 2020.
He was part of two Australian Rules panels (2015 in Ireland and 2017 in Australia) and won a Railway Cup with Ulster in 2016.
"All in Cavan GAA County Board wish Killian the very best for the future and thank him sincerely for his dedication and commitment to Cavan GAA over the years," a Cavan statement read.
"Enjoy the time with your family and friends."
