Castletown made it back-to-back Wexford SFC titles after accounting for Shelmaliers 0-14 to 1-07 at Chadwicks Wexford Park.

There was no doubting Castletown's dominance as they signalled their intent early on, building up a four-point advantage after the opening ten minutes, with goalkeeper Darragh Brooks slotting over a two-point free.

Shelmailers responded with four points of their own to gain parity but that was as good as it got for them. Conor Hearne and Glen Malone kicked three points each and a goal deep in added time from Glen Malone put a better look on the scoreline.

The victors led by 0-07 to 0-04 at the break and a Conor Carty orange flag shortly after the resumption pushed them further clear. Jonathan Bealin (0-04) and another point from Rory Heffernan had Castletown in cruise control as the final whistle neared.stletown

It's a 14th county title for Castletown and they will now face Dublin champions Ballyboden St Enda's in the Leinster quarter-final on 16 November.
