All-Ireland champions Cuala were edged out by Ballyboden St Enda's in the Go-Ahead Dublin SFC semi-final, with Na Fianna accounting for Kilmacud Crokes by the bare minimum in the other semi.
Ballyboden had two points to spare - 3-21 to 2-22 - over the Dalkey outfit, who achieved their maiden All-Ireland success last season.
With five minutes left at Parnell Park, Cuala were ahead by seven points but a brace of goals, the second in added time, from Daire Sweeney brought about a thrilling conclusion as Ballyboden reached the decider.
Sweeney finished with a total of 2-08, with Colm Basquel getting the other goal for the victors.
Conor O'Brien and Peadar Ó Cofaigh Byrne raised green flags for Cuala, who enjoyed a six-point half-time advantage.
The Donnycarney venue also played host to a cracker as Na Fianna prevailed against the Crokes on a 3-11 to 1-16 scoreline.
James Doran, who was to the fore in Na Fianna's quarter-final win against Ballymun Kickhams, kicked the winning point in a game where Crokes' Shane Walsh fired over three two-pointers in a personal tally of 1-11.
