Legendary Dublin goalkeeper Stephen Cluxton will join Ger Brennan's management team ahead of the 2026 season.

Brennan, who was appointed as Dessie Farrell's successor last month, has added three of his decorated former team-mates to the management set-up, with Dean Rock and Denis Bastick joining Cluxton on the backroom team.

Professor Niall Moyna, who led Dublin City University to four Sigerson Cups and was part of Brennan's management team in Louth, has also been added to the set-up.

"I'm delighted to see Dean, Denis and Stephen get involved with the management of the Dublin Senior Football team, having previously given so much to Dublin GAA during their playing careers," said Dublin county board chairman Ken O'Sullivan in a statement.

"All three are among the most decorated players the game has ever seen and have been part of panels that have brought historic levels of success to Dublin GAA over the last 15 years.

"Niall has also played a key role in the success and growth of Gaelic Games in the county with Dublin, with St Vincents and with DCU at colleges level."

Cluxton, who turns 44 in December, still held onto the Dublin No 1 jersey for the 2025 season and was in goal throughout their championship campaign, which concluded with a loss to Tyrone in the All-Ireland quarter-final.

It is unclear whether the nine-time All-Ireland winning goalkeeper intends to remain on as a player for the 2026 campaign.

Cluxton famously stepped away from the panel - without ceremony or formal announcement - for a two-year period following their six-in-a-row success in 2020, abruptly returning to help the side to a memorable All-Ireland success in 2023.

Since making his championship debut against Longford in 2001. Cluxton has won a record nine All-Ireland titles and 17 Leinster SFC titles.

Former forward Rock won eight Celtic crosses, calling time on his inter-county career after the Dubs' most recent triumph in 2023, while midfielder Bastick won five before retiring in 2017.
