Jack O'Connor is to remain on as Kerry manager for their All-Ireland title defence after extending his term by a further two years.
Tuesday's meeting of the Kerry GAA board is set to ratify the extension, with O'Connor's current backroom team also staying in place.
O'Connor, who won his fifth All-Ireland title as a manager this summer, had indicated that it would be his last season in charge, though in the aftermath of the decider against Donegal he left open the possibility that he could change his mind.
The Dromid Pearses man has guided Kerry to five All-Ireland victories in 11 seasons across three different stints in charge.
He has yet to oversee back-to-back All-Ireland successes, though he did preside over the first leg of their last two-in-a-row in 2006-07 before departing the role for the first time. His other back-to-back tilts ended in All-Ireland final losses, to Tyrone in 2005 and Dublin in 2023, as well as a surprise All-Ireland quarter-final defeat to Down in 2010.
