Wicklow manager Oisín McConville has ended speculation linking him with a number of positions by committing his future to the Garden County.
The 2002 Armagh All-Ireland winner had been linked with the vacant posts in both Mayo and Louth – and Crossmaglen clubmate Tony McEntee remains linked to the former – but he has agreed a new two-year term with Wicklow.
McConville's side just missed out on promotion from Division 4 last season while they were undone by a late Limerick rally to deny them a spot in a first-ever Tailteann Cup final this Saturday.
"This year, under his leadership, Wicklow came within a score of promotion and delivered a thrilling Tailteann Cup semi-final display, only to be edged out by Limerick in the closing minutes," Wicklow GAA said.
"The progress achieved on and off the field has been widely commended by players, supporters and county board delegates alike."
McConville was appointed in late 2022 and will now prepare for his fourth season with the Leinster county.
