Mayo captain Paddy Durcan is back in the Mayo squad for Sunday's Connacht SFC final against Galway having recovered from the cruciate ligament injury he suffered a year ago.
Durcan went down in the closing stages of a comfortable win in the round-robin stages of the All-Ireland SFC in May 2024. His return after such a lengthy absence is a real boost to manager Kevin McStay, who names an unchanged starting 15 for the decider at Hastings Insurance MacHale Park.
Durcan is listed amongst the substitutes.
Meanwhile Damien Comer has dropped out of Galway's matchday panel and Shane Walsh remains unavailable.
Comer made a brief cameo in Galway's semi-final demolition of Roscommon in Salthill but isn't fit to be included in the squad for their four-in-a-row tilt in Castlebar.
The Annaghdown full-forward delivered one of his signature displays in the Connacht decider last year, earning the man of the match award as Galway made it three in a row in a dramatic fashion against Mayo.

Shane Walsh, meanwhile, who hasn't featured for Galway since the Round 6 league defeat to Dublin in Croke Park, will not see any action on Sunday.
Otherwise, Padraic Joyce has named an unchanged starting XV from the side that dispatched Roscommon by nine points under a fortnight ago.
In better news for Galway, Peter Cooke returns to the matchday panel after missing the entirety of 2024 with work commitments.
The Maigh Cuilinn star's return to the set-up was confirmed by Joyce after their Connacht quarter-final win over New York in Gaelic Park.
Cooke last played for Galway in the 2023 preliminary quarter-final loss to Mayo in Pearse Stadium.

Kerry have made six changes to their starting team ahead of Sunday's Munster final against Clare, most of them enforced.
Wiith Paudie Clifford missing through suspension, while Graham O'Sullivan absent through injury, Jack O'Connor has named an entirely changed half-forward line, with Tony Brosnan, Michéal Burns, and the returning Seanie O'Shea starting in Killarney.
Tom O'Sullivan and Mike Breen come into the defence in place of Paul Murphy and Tadhg Morley, while goalkeeper Shane Ryan, injured in the win over Cork, is replaced by Shane Murphy.
Kerry are seeking a fifth Munster title on the trot and a third provincial decider victory over Clare in a row, having won by seven points in Ennis last summer.
Clare, appearing in their third Munster final on the trot, have made two changes to the side which dispatched Tipperary in the provincial semi-final.
Ikem Ugwueru and Daniel Walsh come in for Ciaran Downes and Fionn Kelleher, as the Banner mount their latest attempt to win a third Munster title and a first since 1992.
Under Peter Keane, Clare won five games from seven in Division 3, narrowly missing out on promotion on score difference.

Limerick have made two changes to their side for their second Munster SHC game against Waterford in Walsh Park.
John Kiely has made two switches to the side which dug out a draw with Tipperary in Semple Stadium, experienced defenders Sean Finn and Dan Morrissey returning to the starting team in place of Barry Murphy and Colm Coughlan.
Limerick have won their last eight championship games against Waterford, with no defeat in the fixture since a one-point loss in the 2011 Munster semi-final.

They began their seven-in-a-row tilt in the province with a 2-23 apiece draw in Thurles.
Peter Queally has only made one change to his side which beat Clare in their championship opener in Walsh Park last week.
Patrick Fitzgerald comes in at corner forward, with Kieran Bennett making way.
Fitzgerald was involved in the goal which gave Waterford a cushion down the stretch, his shot hanging up in the wind at the back post, Stephen Bennett pouncing to establish a seven-point lead.
Former Hurler of the Year Austin Gleeson, who made a brief cameo in the final moments, is again named on the bench.
