Paudie Clifford looks set to miss the Munster SFC final after failing in his bid to overturn his red card against Cork at a CHC (Central Hearings Committee) meeting last night.

Clifford was sent off for a high tackle on Matty Taylor with 10 minutes remaining in normal time in Páirc Uí Chaoimh, referee Barry Tiernan deeming it a dangerous challenge.

The red card decision was upheld by the CHC, with Clifford hit with a one-match ban for "behaving in a dangerous manner to an opponent".

The Fossa player has the option to appeal the CHC decision ahead of Kerry's Munster final clash with Clare in Fitzgerald Stadium in nine days' time.

Kerry - who clung on to beat Cork by two points after extra-time - are seeking their fifth Munster title in a row and their 12th in the last 13 years.
