The Championship returns, Hurling league decider and Mick O'Dwyer remembered

The Championships is back on RTÉ Radio 1 and for this week's edition, Damian Lawlor is joined by former Monaghan footballer Kieran Hughes to preview the start of the provincial football championships.

Connacht Council Secretary John Prenty discusses the opening weekend which will see the province run games in three different countries, as well as detailing plans to resurrect the dome in Bekan and his desire to see the return of the early season competitions.

Tipp hurler Jake Morris also speaks ahead of the Allianz League final against Cork, and ex-Kerry footballer Jack O'Shea pays tribute to the late, great Mick O'Dwyer.
