Shane Curran has stepped down as Carlow manager less than a year after taking charge of the county footballers as a result of "player-related issues".
Carlow finished fourth in Division 4 of the Allianz Football League after a mixed campaign where they won three, lost three and drew one game.
Curran only took up the role in August of last year and his final game in charge was on Sunday in Ruislip where his side enjoyed a one-point, 1-18 to 1-17 victory over London.
A statement from the Carlow County Board read: "Shane Curran has informed Carlow GAA that he and his backroom team are stepping away from the management of the Carlow senior football team with immediate effect.
"This decision was based on player-related issues which he believed were beyond the scope of the management team.
"Carlow GAA are in the process of looking for an interim senior football manager for the championship season."
