Dublin's trio of nine-time All-Ireland SFC winners Stephen Cluxton, Michael Fitzsimons and James McCarthy have all been named in Dessie Farrell's squad for Sunday's Leinster SFC quarter-final clash with Meath at Croke Park.

Cluxton and Fitzsimons didn't feature in the Allianz Football League campaign at all, with McCarthy making one appearance off the bench in January's loss to Monaghan.

Paul Mannion and Cormac Costello also take their place on an incredibly strong bench, but Brian Fenton is absent. He's serving a one-game ban after seeing red in the Division 1 league final against Derry.

Farrell has been happy to give his senior men as much time as possible to decide whether or not they are ready to commit to another championship.

The prospect of winning a truly remarkable tenth Celtic Cross looks like it's too attractive for Cluxton, Fitzsimons and McCarthy to walk away from. They also boast 43 Leinster titles between them.
