Does Dublin manager Dessie Farrell have a decision to make at goalkeeper?
Reflecting on Derry's dramatic Allianz Football League Division 1 final victory over Dublin, who twice rallied - to force extra-time and then penalties - All-Ireland winning former Kerry manager and player Eamonn Fitzmaurice told the RTÉ GAA Podcast: "Dessie Farrell is not going to be sad. They fought back from the dead.
"There have been holes exposed in their game, which they’re going to go away and deal with, particularly how open they were at the back and how, when they got caught on long kickouts, they were wide open. We won’t see that again this year.
"It isn’t that Evan Comerford did anything wrong but I’d say when they were under the cosh in the second half, if Cluxton was in goals he might have managed it slightly differently.
"The way that they played, for a lot of the league, they’ll be happy with it. They will have to tweak it, in terms of their approach to the back, which they will, and they’ll be stronger for it.
"As good a result as it was for Derry, they have poked the bear now."
However, former Fermanagh captain Ryan McCluskey questioned whether it would be the right move to recall Cluxton (42), who - along with fellow record 10-time All-Ireland winner Mick Fitzsimons - is in training but has yet to make an appearance this year, in place of the man 16 years his junior.
"I think Dublin might retain Evan Comerford," said McCluskey.
"He plays a bit more out the pitch and I think Dublin have to add that 15th attacking player over the next number of months to live with the likes of Derry.
"I think they struggle against sides who play that 'attacking keeper’, in this new era.
"Both sides epitomise that modern-game approach where everyone attacks, everyone defends together."
