Páirc Seán Mac Diarmada will now host the meeting of the provincial neighbours

Avant Money Páirc Seán Mac Diarmada will host Leitrim's Connacht SFC quarter-final against Sligo on 7 April.

Due to a planned pitch upgrade at the Carrick-on-Shannon venue, the game was switched to Dr Hyde Park in Roscommon, but after a meeting of the Connacht Competitions Control Committee (CCC) on Tuesday it was announced that work on the surface at Páirc Seán will now not begin until after 7 April.

And so Leitrim will now have home advantage for the clash against their neigbours, with a date against London or Galway awaiting the winner in the provincial semi-final.

For Andy Moran's men, their championship bow comes a week after they face Laois in the Allianz Football League Division 4 decider at Croke Park. On Sunday last, Leitrim secured promotion following a six-point win over Tipperary.
