Paul Flynn belives the arrival of Mickey Harte as Derry football manager is already adding a greater sense of belief to a squad that has been building something in recent years.
Harte's appointment was a surprise, though it could be prove to be a masterstroke if the Ulster champions can push on and land more silverware this year, with Sam Maguire, no doubt the ultimate target.
On Sunday, the Oak Leaf county made it two wins from two in Division 1 of the Allianz League, when acounting for Tyrone at Celtic Park.
Former Dublin All-Ireland winner Flynn was singing the praises of Harte's Derry when speaking on RTÉ's Allianz League Sunday.
"Spacing, width and intent."

"He's [Harte] going to instil a belief in the squad that's already starting to believe," he said.
"You can see the impact already. The Glen lads are back after after winning an All-Ireland.
"The belief is building there, there is an intent about them. They are very structured at the back and work the ball very deliberately."
Focusing more on how Derry performed against Tyrone, Flynn added: "There is spacing, there is width, there is intent.
"Like in rugby, there is good offloads. Look at the numbers they are committing forward, players not getting into position to be a decoy, they all want to get involved. The new guy Cormac Murphy adds a bit of magic."
