Cork racked up five goals as they started 2023 with bang, recording a 5-11 to 0-14 victory over All-Ireland champions Kerry in their McGrath Cup opener at Páirc Uí Rinn.
Three first-half goals from Brian Hurley, Chris Óg Jones and Colm O'Callaghan had John Cleary's team in control at the break, 10 points clear of Kerry by a 3-07 to 0-06 margin.
A fourth goal from Brian O'Driscoll five minutes after the resumption pushed the Rebels further clear and O'Callaghan's second goal on 48 minutes added icing to the cake in the Group A match-up.
Kerry's starting fifteen contained four of the starters from last July's All-Ireland final win over Galway with goalkeeper Shane Murphy, Jason Foley, Tadhg Morley and Diarmuid O'Connor featuring from the outset.
Jack O'Connor's side will meet Clare on Sunday at Austin Stack Park in their next group game.
In Group B, Limerick defeated Waterford 4-14 to 0-09 in Rathkeale.
Goals from Adrian Enright and Cathal Downes had Limerick 2-05 to 0-06 in front at the break, before they saw out the game with plenty to spare as Ray Dempsey's tenure got underway.
Waterford will be up against Tipperary on Sunday in Dungarvan.

Dublin got their year off to a winning start as they overcame Oisín McConville's Wicklow 2-15 to 0-09 in their O'Byrne Cup Group C match in Baltinglass.
Dessie Farrell's side led by a point at half-time and Killian O'Gara's goal early in the second period increased their advantage before Colm Basquel weighed in with another as Dublin restricted Wickow to four points after the interval.
Meath got the Colm O'Rourke era underway with a 0-16 to 1-09 win over Carlow at Netwatch Cullen Park in Group B.
Carlow started strongly, holding an early lead which was amplified by a 22nd-minute goal. However, having trailed 1-05 to 0-03 at half-time, Meath scored 13 second-half points as they turned the game on its head.
In the other Group B match, Longford beat Laois 3-18 to 0-13 in Portarlington, with the goals from Dessie Reynolds, Dylan Farrell and Daniel Mimnagh coming in the first half.
In Group A, Kildare defeated Wexford 1-18 to 0-11, while Louth edged reigning Tailteann Cup winners Westmeath 1-08 to 0-09.

In Section A, Down beat holders Monaghan 2-10 to 0-12 in Castleblayney.
Andrew Gilmore and Odhran Murdock got the goals for the Mournemen, who led 1-06 to 0-06 at half-time.

In Section B, Tyrone had seven points to spare over Fermanagh.
Ultan Kelm struck a late consolation for the visitors as it ended it 0-17 to 1-07 at Healy Park.

In Section C, Armagh racked up a big score at home to Antrim, winning 2-20 to the visitors' 2-08.
Man of the match Conor Turbitt got the opening goal as Armagh led 1-10 to 0-04 at the interval in front of a crowd of 4,510.Joe Sheridan added a second major before Odhran Eastwood hit the net twice for the Saffrons, who host Cavan on Sunday.
