Former Offaly footballer and manager Kevin Kilmurray has died at the age of 72.

The Daingean centre-forward was a valuable member of the Offaly All-Ireland winning teams of 1971 and '72. He also won six Leinster titles and was named an All-Star in 1972 and '73.

Kilmurray won four Dublin senior football championships and two club All-Ireland crowns with UCD.

He managed the Faithful footballers in the 2005 and 2006 seasons, leading them to the Leinster decider in the latter - their most recent provincial final appearance.
