We're not in the habit of reporting on county junior football finals, but you will make an exception for Fossa and David Clifford.

The Kerry phenom scored 2-12 (two goals and 12 points) as his club overcame Listry by 4-15 to 0-22 after extra-time at Fitzgerald Stadium.

The footballer of the year did score all but 2-03 of their total. With his brother Paudie chipping in with 1-02, which left just 1-01 not scored by a member of the Clifford family.

Tadhg O'Shea (goal) and Harry Buckley (point) were the non-Clifford scorers as Fossa won their premier junior title and secured their promotion to intermediate grade.

It also opens up the opportunity of a sixth title this season for the Cliffords, who have already won the Allianz League, Munster championship, All-Ireland championship, Kerry senior championship (with East Kerry) and now the premier junior championship with Fossa.

A Munster junior campaign awaits and who would bet against any 'third tier' team boasting a talent such as David Clifford in their ranks.
