Five-time All-Ireland winner Tomás Ó Sé has been appointed manager of the Kerry U20 footballers.

The former Offaly coach and The Sunday Game pundit will be joined by ex-team-mates Séamus Moynihan and Bryan Sheehan as selectors along with former Kerry, Munster and Kerry LGFA chair Seán Walsh.

Ó Sé was believed to be Offaly's first choice to succeed John Maughan as senior manager but he opted for an assignment closer to his home in Cork.

He succeeds Declan O'Sullivan, who led the side to a Munster title this year before they were beaten by eventual All-Ireland champions Tyrone in the semi-final.

The Kingdom last won a title or even appeared in a final at this grade in 2008.

A new U20 hurling management of Seán Maunsell, Michael Slattery, Liam Boyle, Tadhg Flynn and Tim Daly was also ratified at tonight's county board meeting.
