RTÉ GAA Podcast: Fitzmaurice and Foley on semi-finals

It is a retro-sounding final as Kerry and Galway will face off in a fortnight's time - Éamonn Fitzmaurice and Michael Foley join Mikey Stafford and Rory O'Neill to look back on a fascinating pair of semi-finals.

The Kerry celebrations at the end told their own tale as the Kingdom finally got one over on their old foes Dublin, thanks to a Sean O'Shea free-kick for the ages, some resolute defending, a little uncharacteristic Dublin decision-making and that man David Clifford.

Éamonn tells us how Sean O'Shea became such an accomplished free-taker, while the lads wonder about Jack O'Connor's team selection for the final.

Galway finally unlocked Derry on Saturday thanks to Damien Comer's bullish forward play and some excellent defending.

There is no getting away from the impact the HawkEye error had on the match however, and Rory has a theory on why the system failed.

Looking ahead to the final, the lads think it would be foolish to predict a sure Kerry win and, as Éamonn points out, this generation of Galway players have experience beating this bunch of Kerry players.

The Tailteann Cup final provided some great football and the lads look ahead to what the win might mean for Westmeath.
