Con O'Callaghan has not been named in the Dublin team to face Kerry in Sunday's All-Ireland SFC semi-final at Croke Park.
The Cuala man, along with James McCarthy who also missed the quarter-final win over Cork amid reports of hamstring injuries, will again be absent as the Dubs look to extend to sequence of wins over the Kingdom in the championship.
After the victory over the Rebels, Dublin manager Dessie Farrell said the pair would be in a "race against time" for the last-four clash.
"It's a tough one, obviously very disappointing for the lads," he told RTÉ Sport.
"Injuries, unfortunately, they're part and parcel of the landscape at this level,"
"Getting an injury at this time of year is very challenging because the games are coming thick and fast.
"In many ways, it's a race against time now so our medical team are doing everything possible to have both players available."
Farrell has again named the same starting team that started against Cork.
