Fixture details confirmed for All-Ireland qualifiers, Tailteann Cup

Armagh and Donegal will meet for the second time in this year's championship following Monday’s All-Ireland qualifier round two draw.

The game will take place on Sunday at 4pm in Clones, with live coverage on RTÉ television and radio.

Elsewhere, Leinster runners up Kildare were paired with Mayo in what will be the second part of a Croke Park double-header on Saturday. That match will take place at 6pm, with Clare and Roscommon, who were drawn together, throwing in at 3.45pm.

Cork and Limerick will meet in a Munster derby on Sunday at 1.30pm with the Rebels enjoying the home comforts of Páirc Uí Chaoimh due to a home and away agreement between the counties. That match will also be broadcast on RTÉ.

Meanwhile, Sligo will meet Cavan and Westmeath will come up against Offaly following the draw for the semi-finals of the Tailteann Cup.

The two ties will be played on 19 June at Croke Park and will be screened live on RTÉ2, with Sligo and Cavan at 1.45pm and Westmeath and Offaly at 4pm.

The Tir Chonaill recorded a convincing Ulster quarter-final win over Armagh back in April before going on to lose the provincial final to Derry. Kieran McGeeney’s side responded with a fine qualifier win over All-Ireland champions Tyrone on Sunday.

Mayo also dismissed Division 1 opposition in round 1 as they fended off a few late scares from Monaghan, and they will face a Kildare side hoping to bounce back from their heavy Leinster final defeat to Dublin. The contest will spark memories of the famed 'Newbridge or Nowhere’ clash in 2018 when the Lilywhites insisted on home advantage for their qualifier clash and followed it up by defeating the westerners.

Clare’s reward for their victory over Meath is a game with Roscommon. The sides drew when they met in the Allianz League in February.

The final contest is an all-Munster affair as provincial finalists Limerick meet a Cork side that defeated Louth in round 1.

Meanwhile, the fixture details for the two All-Ireland SHC preliminary quarter-finals have also been confirmed.

Antrim will host Cork at Corrigan Park at 2pm on Saturday while Kerry and Wexford will meet at Austin Stack Park in Tralee at the same time.

Clare boss Colm Collins said that the challenge of Roscommon is a great one, but a task they will look forward to.

"When you get to this stage of any championship, you're going to be playing quality teams," he told RTÉ’s Morning Ireland.

"We played them in the league, we played a drawn game on a very bad day so we’re looking forward to next weekend now and having a real go at it."

The Banner were 1-11 to 1-09 winners over Meath in round 1, a game they should have won more comfortably. Understandably, Collins said that their finishing must improve if they are to reach the All-Ireland quarter-final.

"I think that when we play we have a serious team and I wouldn’t fear anyone.

"A lot of little things to tidy up after the weekend and hopefully we can do that and give a good account of ourselves next weekend."
