New Kerry manager Peter Keane was pleased with the manner of his side's comeback against Cavan with the Kingdom securing a 0-16 to 0-13 victory at Breffni Park.
The travelling side were trailing by four points at the break but Kerry came back in the second half to secure the three point win and maintain their winning start to their Allianz League Division 1 campaign.
And while Keane was happy with the way his side took control of the game after the break, the manager emphasised the fact that he was not happy with some of his side's play in the first half.
"We are pleased with the manner of the comeback in the second half," said Keane, speaking to RTE Sport.
"We weren't happy with lots of things going in at half-time, but we managed to rectify things. We got out of here and we're looking forward to the road home."
And key to Kerry's victory was the accuracy of Kenmare youngster Sean O'Shea who scored 12 of Kerry's 16-point tally.
Kerry praised the young forward and believes that he is starting to see his side starting to form, considering players are still missing through club committments and injuries.
"He played very well. He must have kick 11 or 12 points and eight or nine of them were from frees," said Keane.
"We have two games played now and we are getting [the team back] bit by bit
"We have been under fierce pressure with players and numbers and trying to get bodies back on the field."
That's two from two for Keane's new-look side now and while the manager is happy with where his side are at going into next weekend's home encounter with Dublin, he was quick to emphasise that they were not getting ahead of themselves at this early stage of the competition.
"I won't complain [with two wins], but at the same time we won't be getting carried away with it.
"It hasn't been helped that we are missing lads who are involved with clubs in their All-Ireland series and injuries. But I'd hope today that we haven't picked up too many knocks that will allow us to go forward with some scratch of a team.
"We''ll worry about the Dubs during the week. Our main priority now is to get home."
