Dublin supporters crammed into Smithfield to celebrate with their four-in-a-row heroes on Monday evening as Jim Gavin's men lapped up the glory of another All-Ireland triumph.

The Dubs held off Tyrone on Sunday to capture Sam Maguire once again and tee up a 'drive for five' in 2019.

The return to the city centre plaza is becoming an annual tradition at this stage but the Sky Blues won't get bored of it any time soon as their young, hungry team serves up success after success.

The mood was buoyant at the family-friendly, alcohol-free event.

Speaking to RTÉ, Gavin thanked those who turned out and who have been there to support Dublin throughout the season.

"It’s just great to be back in Smithfield to see our supporters," the Dublin manager said.

"They’ve been fantastic throughout the year, in the National Football League, whether home or away, they’ve been with us through all those challenges.

"The players are just really excited to see them tonight."
