Armagh and Fermanagh will meet in the Allianz NFL Division 3 final, with Wexford and Louth demoted for 2016.

Armagh succumbed to their first defeat of the campaign, but had already booked their place in the decider, with Sligo 1-19 to 1-08 winners at Markievicz Park.

The hosts led throughout this game and held a 0-12 to 0-04 half-time lead, with Adrian Marren kicking seven of their first 10 points.

Sligo pushed 12 points clear early on the restart, with David Kelly netting a goal.

The Orchard County worked hard, with an Andrew Murnin goal cutting the gap to nine points but the home side had done enough with Keelan Cawley and Mark Breheny taking impressive points late on.

Clare maintained Division 3 status for 2016 with a 1-14 to 2-08 win, despite a strong final quarter from Fermanagh at Cusack Park, Ennis

Clare led by 0-08 to 1-03 at the break, with Shane McGrath, Pat Burke and Gary Brennan among their first half scorers.

An early Sean Quigley goal kept the visitors in touch, and despite a Burke goal in the 41st minute handing Clare a 1-09 to 1-03 lead, Fermanagh never gave up.

Pete McGrath’s charges worked hard, with Quigley netting a 67th minute penalty, but it came too late, as Clare bagged a three-point win.

Wexford delivered a strong second half display and came from behind, to take a 2-16 to 2-12 win over Tipperary in Clonmel, but it wasn’t enough to avoid the drop to Division 4 next year.

Wexford boss David Power masterminded an impressive win over his native county, as they turned an eight-point interval deficit into a four-point win.

Goals from George Hannigan and Peter Acheson helped Tipperary to a 2-08 to 0-06 interval advantage with the hosts also missing a penalty, and this came back to haunt them in the second half

Wexford burst out of the blocks and two quick goals including a lobbed Ciaran Lyng effort saw them cut the gap to two points at 2-09 to 2-07 by the 46th minute.

Wexford built from this and outscored Tipperary by to 0-07 to 0-03 over the remainder of this contest, but it wasn’t enough to keep the Slaneysiders in Division 3.

Limerick shaded a 2-13 to 2-11 win over 14-man Louth in Drogheda.

The game was tight throughout, with the visitors edging an 0-08 to 0-07 interval lead, after a strong finish to the opening half.

A 42nd minute Peter Nash goal pushed Limerick 1-09 to 0-09 ahead on the restart, and his side moved 2-12 to 0-11 ahead with 12 minutes remaining, after Pa Ranahan netted their second goal.

Louth finished strongly with goals from Ryan Burns and Conor Grimes, but the fourth quarter dismissal of Kevin Toner on a red card proved costly.
