Armagh and Fermanagh continue to be neck-and-neck at the top of Division 3 of the Allianz Football League, after both maintained their unbeaten run.

Armagh claimed their first league win over Clare since 1976, with a 3-11 to 1-11 victory at Cusack Park, Ennis.

A 65th-minute Tony Kernan goal proved crucial for Kieran McGeeney's charges in a game where Clare responded strongly after a poor start.

Goals from Ethan Rafferty and Kernan helped Armagh to a 2-08 to 0-04 interval lead, but Clare fired 1-05 without reply on the restart, including a Podge Collins goal.

With 15 minutes remaining just two points separated the sides on a 2-09 to 1-10 scoreline, but Armagh finished strongly with Kernan's second goal helping them to a six-point win.

Seven players were on target for Fermanagh as they claimed a 2-19 to 2-10 home win over Limerick at Brewster Park, Enniskillen.

Sean Quigley (0-11) top-scored for the hosts in this highly competitive clash.

Fermanagh were in control throughout this game with an early Eoin Donnelly goal setting the tone. The hosts led by 1-03 to 1-02 at the end of the first quarter, after a Robert Browne goal for Limerick, Ruairi Corrigan scoring a goal soon after for Fermanagh.

Fermanagh led by 2-07 to 1-05 at the break, and moved 11 points clear with 19 minutes left on the clock.

David Ward netted Limerick's second goal, but it was mere consolation late in injury-time.

Tipperary claimed their third win of the campaign, after a 4-16 to 3-11 win over Louth in a high-scoring encounter at Drogheda.

Nine players were on target for Paddy Codd's side in a contest which saw the visitors burst out of the blocks, only to be pegged back by Louth. Goals from George Hannigan and Conor Sweeney (1-05) handed Tipperary a 2-03 to 0-02 advantage at the end of the opening quarter.

Louth fired six unanswered points as a response, including two from Declan Byrne (0-03), to cut the gap to the minimum by the 33rd minute. But Tipp kicked on to take a 2-06 to 0-08 interval lead.

Louth started the second half brightly, with half-time substitute Derek Crilly bagging the first of his three second half goals, 90 seconds after the restart.

Louth edged 1-10 to 2-06 ahead by the 41st minute, and while Tipperary fired 1-05 without reply, including a Liam Casey goal to push 3-11 to 1-10 ahead entering the final quarter, Louth never gave up.

Crilly bagged his second goal 13 minutes from the end, and although Philip Austin netted for Tipperary, Crilly's third goal cut the gap to four points.

However, Tipperary closed out this game with four unanswered points, to take an eight-point win.

Sligo claimed back-to-back wins, after a 2-10 to 1-08 win over Wexford at Markievicz Park.

The hosts made a blistering start and led by 1-05 to 0-01, with Adrian Marren netting a penalty goal. Despite the dismissal of Pat Hughes on a second yellow card before the break, Sligo led by 1-06 to 1-02 at half-time, with Tiernan Rossiter netting for Wexford.

Sligo never eased up on the restart, with Mark Breheny netting their second goal on the way to a five-point win.
