There was a quartet of away victories as Offaly maintained their unbeaten run, with wins also for Antrim, Longford and Carlow in the Allianz Football League Division 4 this weekend.

Offaly bounced back from conceding two early goals to deliver a 2-18 to 2-06 win over Wicklow at Aughrim.

Two Conor McGraynor (2-03) goals helped Wicklow to a 2-00 to 0-02 lead after 10 minutes, but the midlanders responded with an unanswered 1-06, including a Willie Mulhall goal to take a 1-08 to 2-00 lead after 25 minutes.

Offaly moved 1-12 to 2-02 ahead at half-time, and held Wicklow to just four second half points, with  Bernard Allen netting a 65th minute goal on the way to a 12-point win.

Antrim may have conceded an early goal, but firmly bounced back to claim a 1-18 to 1-13 win over Leitrim in Carrick-on-Shannon.

Alan McLoughlin netted for the hosts in the opening minutes, but Michael Pollock responded with an Antrim goal, and from there until the finish the Saffrons wouldn’t trail this game.

The Ulster County led by 1-12 to 1-05 at half-time, with Pollock, CJ McGourty, Tomas McCann and Ryan Murray impressive.

Leitrim outscored their opponents by eight points to six on the restart, with Ronan Kennedy and McLoughlin spear-heading a home-side comeback.

The Connacht men cut the gap to four points midway through the half, but this was as close as it got, as Antrim held out for victory.

On Saturday there was a brace of away victories as both Longford and Carlow claimed their second wins of the campaign.

In the afternoon clash at Ruislip, Longford claimed a 1-18 to 0-06 win over London.

The victors were minus the injured Michael Quinn and Brian Kavanagh, but the visitors impressed as they delivered a 15-point win.

Jack Sheedy’s charges led by 0-08 to 0-02 at half-time, with Paul McKeon netting their only goal 10 minutes after the restart.

Carlow came from six points in arrears to claim an 0-11 to 0-09 win over Waterford at Fraher Field, Dungarvan.

Wind assisted, the Déise led by 0-07 to 0-02 at half-time, with Shane Aherne, Michael O’Halloran Mark Ferncombe and Patrick Hurney on target.

Carlow fought back thanks to the efforts of Daniel St Ledger and Brian Murphy, with the game tied with five minutes left, before Carlow dug deep to deliver a two-point win.
