Rathnew (Wicklow) 2-07 Moorefield (Kildare) 0-17
Moorefield are through to a Leinster Club SFC semi-final meeting with Offaly’s Rhode after a 0-17 to 2-07 win over Rathnew in Aughrim.
Eanna O'Connor, Eddie Heavey and Ronan Sweeney were among the scorers as the Kildare side established a one-point lead at the break, 0-07 to 1-03.
But that was as close as the Wicklow side got with points from O’Connor, Niall Hurley Lynch and Adam Tyrrell extending the lead to 0-15 to 1-04 by the 48th minute.
Rathnew pulled another goal back with ten minutes to play but O’Connor and Daryl Flynn raised white flags to see Moorefield over the line, and into a semi-final against Rhode, who beat Navan O’Mahonys in Tullamore.
