Glenswilly will face St Eunan’s in the Donegal SFC final on Sunday in Ballybofey after beaten semi-finalists Naomh Conaill failed in their appeal to the Donegal Competitions Control Committee against the result of last week’s semi-final against the reigning county champions.

Naomh Conaill’s grievance stemmed from a black-card incident involving Ciaran Bonner.

Glenswilly led the Glenties-based team by a single point with two minutes of normal time remaining, when Bonner was black-carded by referee Jim White and subsequently replaced by substitute Oisin Crawford.

Glenswilly went on to prevail on a 0-10 to 0-08 scoreline, but Bonner was not eligible to be replaced, having already picked up a yellow card.

Glenswilly finished the match with 14 men as captain Caolan Kelly had already seen red for a foul on Stephen Molloy.
