Kerry's James O'Donoghue is Footballer of the Year

Kerry’s James O’Donoghue has been named as GAA GPA Footballer of the Year.

The 24-year-old Killarney Legion forward helped the Kingdom to their 37th All-Ireland title, scoring 4-24 along the way.

Ryan McHugh of Donegal was named as Young Player of the Year.  

His stand-out performance came in the semi-final against Dublin when he scored 2-02 in their six-point win.
