The Carlow County Board have ratified the appointment of All-Ireland winning managers John Allen and John O’Mahony in advisory roles for next season.
O’Mahony, who led Galway to two All-Ireland football titles in 1998 and 2001, will come aboard to assist new Carlow senior football manager Turlough O'Brien.
O'Brien makes the step up to the senior team having previously been in charge of the county's minor and under-21 teams.
Meanwhile, Allen, 2005 All-Ireland winner with Cork, has been drafted in to help advise Carlow's new hurling manager Pat English.
