Kerry hero Kieran Donaghy felt his side answered their critics by beating Donegal to win their first All-Ireland title in five years.
"It's possibly the best one yet," he told RTÉ Sport.
"There's an unbelievable bunch of young lads there. Myself, Declan [O'Sullivan], [Aidan O'] Mahony, and a few of the older guys, the younger guys have really brought us on.
"We've a great manager in Eamonn Fitzmaurice, who stuck with us when we weren't giving him our best. But he always had faith in us.
"I'm just privileged and honoured to be able to tog out with them today and help them to this victory.
Donaghy reserved some special words for The Sunday Game analyst Joe Brolly.
"Joe Brolly told us the production line was finished in Kerry," shouted Donaghy. "Well Joe Brolly, what do you think of that?!"
