St Galls claimed a record sixth FBD Kilmacud Crokes All-Ireland Senior Sevens Football title this evening at Glenalbyn.

Karl McCabe's charges from Antrim bagged their fourth title in seven years, following a hard-earned 1-11 to 1-10 win over Bryansford of Down in the decider.

Seven different players were on target for the eventual winners, including Andrew McLean goal midway through the second half, which handed them a 1-09 to 1-07 lead after Down's Conor Maginn had netted for Bryansford.

Galls were unbeaten throughout the day, with group stage wins over Arles/Kilcruise of Laois and Kilkerrin-Clonberne of Galway, while drawing with Lavey of Derry.

The Milltown Row outfit were powerful as they registered a 6-08 to 1-08 win over Milltown in the quarter-final, before a 2-10 to 1-09 win over Clonduff of Down in the last four.

Bryansford were equally impressive and were 4-11 to 1-13 winners over the hosts in the quarter-final, before a 3-12 to 2-11 semi-final win over Errigal Ciaran.

Little separated the sides throughout the final, but Galls just held that extra edge, and went two points clear late on thanks to Kevin Niblock.

Bryansford never gave up, and although Chris Clarke cut the gap to the minimum with a late point, it was the final kick of the game, with referee Cormac Reilly signalling full-time soon after.

There was some consolation for Bryansford as Ciaran Branagan picked up the Player of the Tournament Award

In an all-Kerry decider the St Jude's All-Ireland Junior Sevens title was won by Kenmare on a 3-04 to 1-06 win over Keel.

Shield honours went to London side Sean McDermotts after they claimed a 4-08 to 0-05 win over Naomh Padraig of Donegal in the Final.
