Down goalkeeper Brendan McVeigh has called time on his inter-county career.

The An Ríocht clubman cited family commitments and the ever-increasing demands of modern football as the reasons behind his decision.

During his career, McVeigh was the recipient of an All Star in 2010, the same year that Down lost to Cork in the All-Ireland final,

Ahead of the 2015 season, the Mourne County will also be searching for a new manager following James McCartan's decision to step last month after five seasons in charge.
