A late Paul Broderick point from a 45 earned Carlow a draw against London in Ruislip today in their rescheduled Allianz Football League Division 4 clash.
Carlow had been trailing for the majority of the game, going in 2-06 to 0-04 down at the break, but Anthony Rainbow’s charges managed a late resurgence to secure the result, with the game eventually ending London 2-07 Carlow 0-13.
Meanwhile, Leitrim beat All-Ireland Under-21 Football champions Galway by a point – 0-09 to 0-08 – to secure a spot in the Connacht Under-21 FC final.
Niall Brady kicked the winning point at Carrick-on-Shannon in what was Leitrim’s first victory in the Connacht Under-21 FC since 1998.
Leitrim will meet Roscommon in the final on 5 April after the Rossies survived a scare to beat Sligo 1-12 to 1-10 at Markievicz Park.
