John Galvin has committed to another season with the Limerick senior footballers.
The Croom clubman, who made his inter-county debut in 1998, informed manager John Brudair of his decision.
Galvin returned to training with the county squad a fortnight ago, but it was unclear at the time whether or not he would be involved for the 2014 season.
The midfielder’s decision to extend his county tenure will be a boost for the Treatymen as they bid for promotion from Allianz FL Division 3.
They began this year’s campaign with an away defeat to Sligo, but followed up with a six-point victory over Longford at the Gaelic Grounds.
Sunday next sees them travel to Hyde Park for what on paper is a tricky assignment against Roscommon.
