Gareth Bradshaw has returned to the Galway football panel and is expected to feature in Sunday's FBD Connacht League match against Sligo in Tuam.
Bradshaw left the panel after the heavy Connacht quarter-final defeat to Mayo last May. In that game both Bradshaw and Niall Coleman were sent off, compounding the 17-point defeat inflicted by James Horan's side.
Galway did pick up the pieces in their summer campaign and got as far as Round 4 of the qualifiers where they lost out narrowly to Cork in what was a high-quality encounter.
They begin their Allianz League Division 2 campaign with an away trip to face Meath on 2 February.
